Muhammad Nauman Jhandier, MD will be joining Slocum-Dickson Medical Group PLLC on July 1, 2017 in the Gastroenterology Department.
As a Gastroenterologist, Dr. Jhandier specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of Digestive and Liver Diseases. This includes conditions of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, liver, pancreas and biliary tract. Dr. Jhandier provides a variety of gastroenterology procedures and advanced endoscopy including: Upper Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, balloon dilation of structures, PEG tube placement, band therapy for treatment of varices, Endoscopic Ultrasonography, and ERCP procedure for pancreatic and bile ducts.
Dr. Jhandier completed his Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, NY and his Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago, IL. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in Bronx, NY and earned his Medical Degree at King Edward Medical College in Pakistan. Dr. Jhandier is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He previously served as Assistant Professor of Medicine and Director of Therapeutic Endoscopy at Albany Medical Center. Prior to joining Slocum-Dickson Medical Group, Dr. Jhandier practiced Gastroenterology at a Medical Center in Maine. He is a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and the American Gastroenterological Association.
